First Tree Town Festival Draws Thousands

(ABC 6 News) -- Thousands traveled to Forest City, Iowa for the Tree Town Music Festival. Country superstars performed all weekend long, bringing fans from all over the Midwest together.

Two stages, almost twenty artists and thousands of fans. The first ever Tree Town Festival in Forest City, Iowa.

"We're excited about today and with all the great talent we have, Toby, Chris Young, David Nail, Tyler Farr, there's a bunch of number one hit songs being performed today."

Fans came from all over Minnesota, Iowa and other states. And of course, locals packed the venue.

There were grilling that went with the chilling, "We're the Tree Town Tiki Hut so we had it all hooked up with the luau theme and everything."

Everyone in community was excited by this event, " I know today I was up in some of the convenience and grocery stores and all day yesterday the day before and this morning just packed with people buying fuel, ice and all sorts of stuff."

The Tree Town Music Festival proves that a small town can bring in a big crowd which means a boost for local businesses.

Chris Young and Toby Keith closed the event with today's shows. Organizers say the event is scheduled for next year already with Blake Shelton headlining the show.
