(ABC 6 News) – A man who tried to fight off police, was still arrested for smoking synthetic marijuana in the Apache Mall Parking lot.

Mall security spotted a man smoking what looked to be marijuana near the West side of Macy’s. They detained him and called police. When police arrived, the man gave them several false names. They then identified him as Terellton Braxton, age 24. Police say when they tried to arrest him, he tried to run and pushed an officer. The officer took him to the ground and into custody.

While at the jail, they also found cocaine on him and learned the marijuana was synthetic. Braxton faces charges of controlled substance, obstructing the legal process with force, fleeing an officer on foot, and giving a false name.
