(ABC 6 News) -- It was a day full of music and good food in Rochester for everyone who came out for the 2nd Annual Blues and BBQ. This event benefits the Cronin Home.
Since 1980 this facility has housed homeless men and women who are in their path to recovering from their alcohol and chemical dependency.
This year organizers are hoping to raise $20,000.
According to Michael Frisch, Executive Director of Cronin Home, "Providing this type of environment for them, it provides them a place where they can work on making better decisions, so they're not out struggling. They're getting fed, they're getting rested, and when people are healthy, they're making better decisions."
The money raised will go toward buying a new sanitizer for the dish machine, installing a security system and re-painting part of the home.
