(ABC 6 News) –  The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is working to track down who stole 35 brass poles off of grave sites in Oronoco.

They went missing on Wednesday around 5:40pm in broad daylight. Those brass poles symbolize someone who was in the Military.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Scott Behrns called it a “despicable act”, that someone would steal from those who’ve served our country. He says they have suspects in mind but are still investigating. A similar crime was committed in Goodhue County earlier this month.

We have a reporter working on this story and will have more on ABC 6 News at 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
