(ABC 6 News) -- The Mower County Sheriff says she will seek another term in office.
In 2002, Terese Amazi became the first woman ever elected sheriff in Minnesota.
She's been with the department for 26 years.
And she says her biggest accomplishment in the last 12 years could be keeping up with changes in technology
"We've had an upgrade to our radio system once, we've also had computers in the squad cars that were brought on-line several years ago and now doing an upgrade to that system," Sheriff Amazi said.
During Amazi's time as sheriff the new Mower County Jail and Justice Center was built, and the law enforcement dispatch center was upgraded.
She has no announced opposition at this time.
