(ABC 6 News) -- Wednesday night voters in Dover-Eyota approved a $7.4 million referendum. The district will use the money for an addition to the elementary school, including a new cafeteria and pre-school space.
Community members also voted yes to the second question on the ballet. A $1.25 million upgrade to the athletic fields, with artificial turf and a new track.
“We really appreciate the voters backing us. We felt like we had a good plan and apparently the majority of the people felt the same way. So we're very excited about that and this is really going to make some nice improvements for the Dover-Eyota School District, we're very pleased,” said Superintendent Bruce Klaehn, Dover-Eyota Public Schools.
