Police Searching for Suspect in Northern Minnesota Homicide

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The Virginia Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a person of interest in a homicide that happened earlier this week.

The St. Louis County Medical Examiner determined that 29-year-old Harley Joseph Jacka, of Virginia, died Tuesday of homicidal violence.

Investigators are trying to find 42-year-old Anthony James Isham. He is Native American, 5’8”, approximately 185 lbs., with brown eyes and black and gray hair.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest for a burglary from a residence in Greaney.  Police say items taken during the burglary were several guns, including a handgun and a vehicle described as a navy blue Chrysler Town and Country van, Minnesota license plate 627 LTT. The vehicle has not been located.

Two other persons of interest in this investigation are in custody on unrelated charges. 39-year-old Bartholamy Jake Drift, of Virginia, is being held on a Predatory Offender Violation. 38-year-old John “Ojiy” Edward Isham, of Virginia, is being held on a Department of Corrections probation violation. 

The Virginia Police Department is investigating the case with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the Eveleth Police Department, the FBI and the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office.
