(ABC 6 News) -- It was a special night for a group of kids and adults as they shared some time together.
Fifth graders from Folwell Elementary in Rochester had dinner with residents of Bear Creek Services, which serves adults with special needs.
The event wasn't just about eating, but a way for kids to learn what life is like for those living with disabilities. And for those who have special needs to enjoy some companionship.
"They really like when kids get to visit because they have someone to talk to and stuff and they don't get to see a lot of people so it just feels nice," fifth grader Emmy Mueller said.
Organizers say one of the best parts of this event is to see friendships being formed.
They plan to do it again next year.
