Clergy & Doctors Push Medical Marijuana

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- More than one-hundred members of the clergy and doctors are trying to get medical marijuana legalized in Minnesota.

Some of them took part in a news conference this morning at the State

They brought along a large sign listing the names of Minnesota doctors and
clergy who support legal access to medical marijuana.

Also, parents of children with debilitating illnesses who say they're not
giving up their fight to pass it.

"The people of Minnesota are just going to keep talking and dispelling some of the myths around this medicine. It is a safe, viable treatment option."

The Senate will likely hold another committee hearing on the bill in the next week or so. No additional hearing is yet scheduled in the house. Governor Mark Dayton has been skeptical of a bill that legalizes medical
