(ABC 6 News) -- Members, staff and board members at the Rochester YMCA gathered tonight for their annual meeting.
They celebrated all the accomplishments from 2013 as well as honoring all the volunteers that have made their work possible. In total 21 volunteers were honored.
Moving forward, the YMCA is excited about their new strategic plan, and what the Y is going to look like with the University of Minnesota Rochester campus moving in next door.
"The next 5 years and very fluid and very dynamic and it's just really exciting now as we try and figure out what we're going to be 5, 6 years from now and what is it all going to look like," YMCA Executive Director Steve Courts said.
The Y will have new programs in 2014, focusing on youth obesity and those battling cancer.
Also at tonight's meeting Patrick Keane was named as the new Chief Volunteer Officer.
