(ABC 6 News) -- Earlier this week ABC 6 told you an Austin man was charged with sexually assaulting a child and producing child pornography.
Now his wife faces charges of her own, with court documents painting the picture of a couple working together to create and distribute child pornography online.
This week police charged 34-year-old Anthony Edge after they say he raped a child and posted explicit videos involving children online.
And on Thursday, police charged 36-year-old Deborah Edge with four counts of using minors in a pornographic work.
Police say in examining one of the computers they took from the couple's home, they found a video of Deborah Edge and a naked six-year-old girl in a bathroom.
Authorities say the video shows Deborah Edge deliberately exposing the girl's body and giving her a sign with some kind of web address written on it.
Edge told police she made the video for her husband, but admitted sending it to someone else.
Police arrested Anthony Edge after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children found explicit videos online and tracked them back to the couple’s home. There they said they found video recording equipment they believe Anthony Edge used to secretly film a 15-year-old girl in the shower.
Experts said watch groups like the NCMEC are important because often cases involve abusers you'd least expect, operating behind closed doors.
“We teach children, always, about stranger danger,” said Tori Miller, director of the Crime Victims Resource Center in Austin. “But children that are sexually abused, 75 percent of the time it’s by somebody that they know and somebody that’s very close to them."
Anthony Edge is a registered sex offender, convicted of possessing nude pictures of minors back in 2006, leading many to wonder why he was allowed to be around children.
Minnesota does not have a statute barring registered sex offenders from being around children, although it is frequently part of their conditions for release.
On Thursday, it was unclear if Anthony Edge was under any such restrictions.
