After getting a new court appointed attorney a little more than two months ago, accused murderer Tyrone Washington Jr. wants another change.
Washington is accused in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend Justina Smith in Northwood last August.
In January, after complaining that Public Defender Susan Flander was not handling his case properly, Washington was granted a new defense lawyer.
Charles Kenville was then appointed as his new attorney, but now Washington says Kenville is unprofessional and not communicating with him.
Over the past two months Washington wrote a series of four letters to Second District Court Judge Colleen Weiland about his concerns with Kenville.
Today Weiland issued a court order concerning the complaints stating that Kenville will remain Washington's attorney but will schedule a hearing on the matter for further review.
Weiland's order stated that "self representation is more complicated that the defendants simple assertion of it".
Washington's trial is scheduled to start June 2nd in Fort Dodge.
