(ABC 6 NEWS) -- An autopsy of a former Winona State University professor has been complete, but the investigation surrounding his death continues.

As we reported, Mickey Ellenbecker, 72, was shot in the back of his head Saturday.  He was taken to Gunderson Health System where he died Sunday.

His body was then transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital Monday, where an autopsy was conducted, and the bullet was recovered.

Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand tells ABC 6 that this is not being treated as a suicide, and that another person was involved.  Brand says they are interviewing the other person who was with Ellenbecker at the time, and plan to bring in another investigator to assist.

The Sheriff wasn't sure if the investigation into Ellenbecker's death would be complete this week or next.
