Police Say Suspected Car Thief Had "Altered Behavior"

(ABC 6 News) - Police say they arrested a Rochester man after he attempted to steal a Land Rover from a Holiday Gas Station.

Authorities say the man, who owned the Land Rover, pulled into the Holiday Station on 55th Street NW, walked into the station and then ran into a friend. They say the friend noticed someone was trying to steal his vehicle.

The owner confronted the alleged car thief, Armando Rodriguez, he reported started "acting weird" and "wanted to fight". Police say Rodriguez resisted arrest and classify his behavior as "altered".

He's facing charges of disorderly conduct, theft of a motor vehicle, driving after revocation and 5th degree controlled substance.
