(ABC 6 News) -- A group in Austin got a lesson in bullying Thursday. Mixed Martial Arts fighter Thomas Herrera spoke to kids and parents at Oak Park Mall.
The group "Community Against Bullying" asked the defending Minnesota champion talk about about how people become bullies and overcome being bullied.
"It's not the end of the world being bullied," Herrera said. "You can bounce back and accomplish your goals and still be human. Your life has value even though you've been hurt."
Herrera says he was bullied as a kid, but uses it as motivation to get him where he is today.
