Crash Injures 3, Including 2 Children

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A Crash on Highway 218 between Austin and Lyle injured three people Thursday night, including two children.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, it happened around 6:30 P.M. The road was icy at the time.

Authorities say one vehicle tried to brake for cars ahead of it and lost control, crossed the center line striking a car going the opposite direction.

19-year-old David Beyer and 18-year-old Alexandria Amick, both from St. Ansgar, were in one vehicle.  22-year-old Karina Almaguer of Austin, along with a 7-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy, were in the other car. They all suffered non-life threatening injuries. The two people from St. Ansgar were not hurt.
