ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - It's a story familiar to Minnesota Vikings fans: sticker shock over rising ticket prices for a new stadium funded in part by public money.

But in this case, it's followers of the St. Paul Saints minor league baseball team who are feeling the pinch.

The Saints are due to open their $63 million downtown ballpark in 2015. The cost of adult season tickets is going up in some sections of the park, and more than doubling behind home plate.

Chris Bothe is a season ticketholder who switched his home-plate seats to behind third base to save money. He said he's disappointed.

Saints general manager Derek Sharrer tells the Star Tribune ( ) that many season ticketholders are happy with the new price structure.
