(ABC 6 NEWS) -- We are following several things at the Capitol Thursday including the country's first hearing about a cell phone kill switch.
If passed, smart phones may have to come with a kill switch. It's a code you dial into your phone from another line to make the stolen phone useless.
Senator Amy Klobuchar is also pushing for federal legislation.
It's wolf day at the capitol. The group Howling for Wolves is still trying to end the statewide wolf hunt.
The group wants the hunt suspended until the DNR does a full study on how many wolves die each year of all causes. They also want a wolf population study done.
Lawmakers will likely vote on a heating bill on Monday to help low-income families paying a lot for propane. It would provide $20 million.
The House passed the bill Tuesday but then a Senate committee made changes. They want to limit the amount of money that can be spent on the fund.
Whenever the senate votes, it will go back to the house before going to governor dayton for approval.
