(ABC 6 News) -- A new business hoping to contribute to the goal of the Destination Medical Center is Rochester Home Infusion.
The facility is located at the Minnesota BioBusiness Center downtown. It provides specialized medicine to patients, extending medical care from the hospital to a home setting.
The facility offers a state of the art clean room and therapies such as long term antibiotics.
"Southern Minnesota is an underserved market, previously a lot of home fusions are based out of the Twin Cities or Urbandale, Iowa, and we believe that is one of the biggest barriers in achieving the best outcome for patients," said founder Joselyn Raymunder.
Senator Carla Nelson was a guest tonight at the grand opening. She tells us she is excited about the jobs it will bring and the benefits to the bio business eco system.
