Arrest Made in Rochester Home Burglary and Assault

(ABC 6 News) –  A suspect has now been arrested in connection to the incident where a Rochester man was hospitalized after getting beat up by three men found in his own home.

Amare Tekle, age 30, was found at the Dorothy Day House in Rochester and was arrested Monday afternoon.  The incident happened on January 30th at the 600 block of 6th Avenue NW. Police say a 45 year-old Rochester man had been drinking and came home to find three men in his home.  He was beaten to the point of lacerations on his face a possibly a broken nose. He was then spotted walking away from the scene by a passerby, who called police.

Teckle is now being charged with 1st degree burglary and 3rd degree assault. The other two involved have not been identified.
