Police: Rochester Man on Crack Stabbed Dog, Claimed it was Cursing

(ABC 6 News) - A man high on crack was arrested in Rochester for stabbing his dog, claiming it was swearing at him.

This happened on Saturday around noon. Loc Phan, 44, was at a hotel on the 1400 block of 2nd Street SW when he called police to tell them he had just stabbed his pit bull. When police arrived the dog was lying down struggling to breath, there was a knife beside him and drug paraphernalia. Phan told police he stabbed the dog because it was shouting the "F" word at him.

The dog was taken to an emergency vet hospital and was saved. Phan was taken to the hospital, then to detox for being high on crack cocaine.

He's faces felony animal torture and drug related charges.
