(ABC 6 News) -- Winterfest activities are continuing in Rochester and today hundreds of people showed up for the 13th Annual Polar Bear Plunge.
People once again jumped in icy waters to raise money for the Special Olympics Rochester Area.
Last year, the event raised more that 3 million dollars across the state.
Kellen and Devin Kaasa, two of those who jumped in the icy waters of Foster Arend Park in Rochester said that "You walk out there and you kind of wonder as you're walking out why am I doing this again? But then, you look at the big picture and see you're raising money for Special Olympics and what a great cause it goes to. So it's all worth it at the end of it."
Event though this year's event just finished up, organizers are already looking ahead to next year. The 14th Annual Polar Bear Plunge will be held on February 14, Valentine's Day. Couples can get married or renew their vows at the Polar Bear Plunge.
