(ABC 6 News) -- The suspect in an armed carjacking in Mankato that lead to a nine hour standoff in Austin in January was apprehended in Minnesota Lake Friday afternoon.

Police say Kendricks was with a 14-year-old female who had been missing from Mankato since late January.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office, Mankato Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Wells Police Department and the South Central Drug Task Force SWAT Team were called in to execute a search warrant at the 200 block of Main Street.

Kendricks was wanted in connection to a carjacking in Mankato and an armed robbery in Le Hillier.

Officials tell us he has been charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and first-degree aggravated robbery.

Back in January, police surrounded a house on the 1100 Block of 8th Street NW in Austin.  A 15-year-old female and 17-year-old male were taken into custody.  However, it's believed Kendricks had already left the house by the time police arrived.
