(ABC 6 News) -- The Rochester Teachers Union has approved a new two-year contract. It passed with a little over 64 percent of the vote.

The new contract involves insurance changes that should balance contributions.  It will also continue the current salary schedule.

However, it still has to be approved by the school board.  A regular board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, and union representatives hope it will be added to the agenda.
