(ABC 6 News) – Police were called to Olmsted Medical Center Friday night where a man was being treated for a stab wound.
The 35 year-old Rochester man had been sliced by a box cutter and required stitches to his arm. When police asked what happened, he said he was at a family gathering and there was a man there that not everybody knew. He says that man “couldn’t control his liquor” and the victim believed he was about to start a fight with a relative. The victim says he stopped the fight by breaking a bottle over the man’s head, and says the man then turned around and stabbed him then someone else.
The victim did not give a name or location where this happened, however, earlier in the day a man came to the hospital with head wounds from a bottle to the head. Police say the stories don’t matchup and are still trying to figure out if the two incidents are related.
