Minnesota Governor and Lawmakers Make an Appeal to the President

(ABC 6 News) -- With the extremely cold weather we've been facing, and with more to come, people are relying heavily on their heating sources.

And for some, that means propane tanks, which is getting expensive.

Governor Mark Dayton and Minnesota lawmakers are calling on the President for immediate action to address critical propane shortage in the state.

In a letter to President Obama, the group mentioned the prices of propane, which are expected to reach $5.50 cents a gallon.
