ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon says she won't join Dayton in bid for 2nd term.

“On behalf of a grateful DFL Party I would like to thank Yvonne Prettner Solon for her excellent work as Lieutenant Governor.  Yvonne has played a significant role over the years through her service as City Councilor, State Senator, and as Lieutenant Governor in helping to build a better Minnesota for all of its citizens.  As an elected official, Yvonne always had a good sense of what is most important to the state and its citizens. She recognized that our state does better when all of its citizens do better and when no one is left behind.

I wish Lt. Gov. Prettner Solon the best in what she does next; knowing Yvonne, I am confident she will continue to be an important part of building a better Minnesota,” said DFL Chairman Ken Martin.
