(ABC 6 News) – The search is over for the body of 29-year old Andrew Kingsbury of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
It has been two weeks since the car he was riding in crashed into the Mississippi River early Sunday morning, January 5.
According to Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand, they found Kingbury’s body around 3:45 pm Sunday, at about 300 yards from the actual spot where the car hit the river.
It is interesting to note that this is the exact same spot where divers found the last body from the 1997 car crash which killed 5 people.
Kingsbury and three friends crashed their SUV two weeks ago. The first two bodies were found that Sunday and the third one was found Monday.
More than 1,500 man hours have been used and about 30 surrounding agencies have put their efforts together to help the families have closure of this tragic event.
