(ABC 6 News) -- It's being investigated as a murder-suicide, and we're learning more about the two teenagers who were killed. It's been more than 24 hours now since the shooting happened at a farm near Pine Island.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Department says they have enough evidence to believe a 19 year-old man shot his friend and killed himself, but the big question, is why?

"She was kind and just, to me, she was just a genuinely good person. That's why I liked her. That's why we were best friends," said Hanna Glowacki. She had just met up with her high school best friend Kayla Koranda on Friday. "As she was driving away I was like, ‘oh shoot, I should've gotten a picture', but was like, 'oh, I’ll just get one next time I see her'... but then I got the news today," said Hannah

Kayla's body was found next to fellow Lourdes High School Graduate Nick Roecker Monday night, who also died moments later at Mayo Clinic from a gunshot wound. "When I found out, I was just in tears for a solid 45 minutes," said Hannah.

The next door neighbors knew Nick's family well, living just feet away from the shed where this happened. "You can imagine they're just totally devastated, both of them, the whole family," said neighbor Jeffrey Eastman.

The Olmsted County Sheriff now says they have enough evidence to believe Nick fired the gun, killing Kayla, them himself. They also believe Nick was suffering from mental health issues. "He was a great kid, nothing bothered him, that I knew of..." said Eastman.

Now, two teens are dead and those that knew them may never have the answers they want to hear. "I'm never going to be able to say just some of those silly inside joke phrases, and no one’s going to be there and laugh with me the way she was," said Hannah. She wants people to remember Kayla as someone who was funny, kind, and loved the performing arts. We've even interviewed Kayla in the past about being in the marching band.

Hannah says she'll miss Kayla’s voice, the one that would give her random calls in the middle of the night just for a good laugh. "I said goodbye and it never occurred me to that that was the last time I would see her," said Hannah.

Lourdes High School released a statement sharing their condolences and offering support to students who may need it. As for further details on the matter, the Olmsted County Sheriff says it could be days, even weeks before the Medical Examiner’s Office and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension know more.
