(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A Fillmore County man is in custody after deputies find him with drugs and an illegal handgun.
According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department Ryan Fosdick was arrested Friday after a deputy observed his car in a suspicious location.
The deputy had approached Fosdick when he was sitting in his car Friday morning parked near Roselee Circle in Byron. Clearly visible in the car was a bag marijuana and a pipe.
When the deputy asked Fosdick to put his hands where he could see them, Fosdick drove off. He eventually crashed into the trees nearby and fled on foot.
When the officer caught up to Fosdick he confessed that he had ran because he had meth and a handgun and did not want to go back to jail.
Inside his vehicle deputies did find meth, an illegal handgun, as well as the bag of marijuana.
Fosdick is facing numerous charges including fleeing an officer and possession of narcotics.
