(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The temperatures were below zero in Rochester on Monday, but people were still walking the streets downtown.
"It really sucks," said Danny Marren.
"Anybody that doesn't have to go outside should stay inside,” said Tammy Kesterengel.
"Freezing cold, hands get like icicles,” said Zachary Balon.
"Zero to freezing in about 2 seconds and it really gets ya!" said James Albrecht.
It’s nothing Minnesotans can't handle. In May 2013, over a foot of snow fell in Olmsted County.
"It’s part of Minnesota and that's what you get when you live here,” said Kurt Miller.
"We just stay sheltered inside,” said Albrecht.
"Stay bundled up, stay warm, keep exposed parts covered if you can, and if you drive anywhere make sure you have extra supplies just in case,” said Kesterengel
People are just trying to survive these brutal temperatures.
