(ABC 6 News) -- There's nothing like something homemade, a gift from the heart that can make a person smile.
"People in a 50 mile radius that bring their homemade things here and we provide a retail outlet for them so that they can sell their creations," said Denice DeVries, owner of Minny-Soy-Ta Nice in Glenville.
The store sells handmade items such as blankets, towels and bird houses. Minny-Soy-Ta Nice also sells soaps and lotions, all made with soy.
“It's soothing and nourishing and gets the results," said DeVries.
"We’ve got a lot of goodies for men... The man cave, architectural is kind of the big thing now so we do a lot with old items, old oil cans, gas cans, old tools," said Leanne Hanson, owner of A Touch of Charm in Blooming Prairie.
The store has been a floral shop for 25 years.
"Everybody appreciates flowers; it's not something that you always buy yourself so it is a treat, especially this time of year when it's cold and all white outside, it’s fun to get some color inside," said Hanson.
The store also has kids’ books, plush animals and puppet items, meaning shoppers can cover the whole family in one stop.
