(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Facing a shortfall in the Red Kettle campaign, Thursday the Salvation Army announced a generous donor is stepping up to help.
“Across the region donations are down 20 to 30 percent, but an outpouring of generosity now can turn things around in every country of both states. That means more lives will be impacted – Salvation Army services are vital to support those in need,” said Lt. Col. Robert Thomson, Salvation Army commander for Minnesota and North Dakota.
The matching grant will be up to $2 million dollars, for donations made Friday and Saturday.
