(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A pre-lit artificial Christmas tree is part of a nationwide recall by Menards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports the 7.5 foot tall Twinkling Pine has 400 champagne-colored, slow-twinkling LED lights, that can overheat and melt, posing fire, burn, and shock hazards to consumers.

The recalled model number 287-1261 and UPC code 741895425478 are printed on the retail box and on a red tag attached to a tree branch.

The CPSC is urging anyone with this particular tree to unplug it immediately, and return it to Menards for a refund.
