(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Loren Bellrichard of Austin is charged with two new felonies after authorities say he sent a letter threatening a police officer and two employees in the Mower County Attorney's Office.

Bellrichard is charged in Mower County District Court with felony terroristic threats and felony attempted coercion-threat to inflict bodily harm.

According to the criminal complaint, The Mower County Attorney's office received a letter on November 4th. The envelope was postmarked in St. Paul.  It contained an Associated Press article that described a case where a St. Paul man was accused of setting fire to his home and fleeing Minnesota. Authorities say a handwritten note was also inside written by Bellrichard. It referenced that man, saying Bellrichard had met him following his mother's funeral. It warned the man would "put a hit" on a police officer from Austin and two employees in the Mower County Attorney's Office if charges against Bellrichard weren't dropped.

Bellrichard had been charged with stalking a 16-year-old girl and violating a restraining order. While in custody for those alleged crimes, he was released to attend his mother's funeral in Austin, but never returned to jail. He was later arrested in Alma, WI. The letter sent to the Mower County Attorney's Office arrived while Bellrichard was on the loose.

Bellrichard previously pleaded not guilty to the stalking charges and the charge of violating a restraining order. This week, he also pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of escape from custody.

Bellrichard has a criminal history. He was convicted in 1991 for threatening public officials. While in prison on original charges, he sent more threatening letters to public officials, which added seven years to his sentence. Bellrichard was acquitted of charges that alleged he bombed the homes of two district judges in 1988 and 1989.

He is being held in the Mower County Jail.
