North Iowa Man Loses Appeal on Child Death Charges

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A north Iowa man convicted of child endangerment that resulted in death, has lost an appeal for a new trial.
Court records show the motion was denied Tuesday.
Prosecutors argued during the trial, that 18 month old Owen Adams was acting out, so his father put him face down in a pillow. The young boy died as a result.
The jury returned the guilty verdict after only 45 minutes.
Adams faces a mandatory of 50 years in prison when sentenced on November 8th.
