Protestors Outside Planned Parenthood Joined by Bishop Quinn
(ABC 6 News) Monday evening was a time of prayer outside of Rochester's Planned Parenthood. Besides praying... dozens of people carried signs and walked the sidewalk. They say their goal is to end abortion. We talked with one of the women in the group, who says she had an abortion, but now calls it a mistake.
"I had an abortion while I was 18 and suffered silently for 13 years and you feel like you re in a solitary confinement prison", says Paula Ellefson, "That's the best way I can describe it. You feel very isolated and alone."
"Well it's a little frustrating i think planned parenthood does probably more than anybody to prevent unintended pregnancies and abortion from even having to happen," says Planned Parenthood's Ehryn Barthelme. "So i think planned parenthood does more in one day that protesters do in a lifetime."
Among those who gathered today... a high ranking catholic leader, Bishop John Quinn of the Winona Diocese.
