UPDATE: No Serious Injuries Following Ambulance Crash
(ABC 6 News) -- Authorities say nobody was seriously injured when a car crashed into an ambulance responding to a call in Albert Lea.
It happened around 6:30 Tuesday night at the intersection of Highway 13 and West Main Street. Police say the ambulance had its lights and sirens on, but was hit in the intersection by a car that didn't yield. The ambulance flipped over, landing upside down.
There were two paramedics in the ambulance, but no patients. An 18-year-old man was driving the car. Nobody was seriously hurt.
Police say no citations were issued at the scene.
