Man Buried in Trench Collapse
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Rescue crews were called to a construction site in downtown Rochester Wednesday afternoon after a man became buried in a trench collapse.
The fire department says he was doing road work in a trench across from the Graham parking ramp when one of the walls came down on him. He was buried up to his shoulders, but was pulled out by co-workers before rescue crews arrived.
"He got very lucky. These trench collapses can be very lengthy drawn out processes, and luckily he got our quickly and hopefully it never happens again to him," says Captain Ross Baker of the Rochester Fire Department.
The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He is expected to be ok.
