Heat Puts a Beating on Cars
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- With this stretch of extreme heat many of those who thought they could make it all summer without air conditioning in the their vehicle - are now caving in.
Those at Tilson's Automotive Service center in downtown Rochester say they've seen more people coming in for air conditioning repairs and battery issues. Overheating is also a problem especially if your car hasn't been maintained very well.
"I think the humidity has it's really hard on cars. Moisture gets down into the system in the vehicles and it just doesn't do very good things to it at all. Like I said doing a coolant flush will really help," said Joe Tilson, Service Manager.
The service manager says keeping your car maintained is the best way to prevent bigger repairs.
