Rochester Man Who Swindled $11 Million from Investors is Sentenced
(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A Rochester man will send five years in federal prison for his part in a multi-million dollar investment scam.
Jason Meyer, 35, was sentenced on Monday in Minneapolis district court.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Meyer started 3 Hooligans Investment Properties in 2007, claiming he was a seasoned investor. He promised clients significant returns on their investments, but instead deposited their money into a bank account.
Meyer bought cars, vacations and even bought a home with the funds.
