Search for Outstanding Minnesota Senior

(ABC 6 News) -- Home Instead Senior Care is holding a Salute to Service contest.
They are looking for nominations of senior 65 and older who volunteer in their communities at least fifteen hours per month.
There will be one winner from each state, chosen by online voting. They will receive $500 for the non-profit charity of their choice.
That person will then move on to the national search, and that winner will receive $5,000 for the non-profit charity of their choosing.
"We love seniors, obviously, because that's the industry that we're in. And to see them remain active is very important, and if we didn't have these seniors doing these volunteers rose, it wouldn't be happening," said Karen Hanson, with Home Instead Senior Care in Rochester.
The deadline for nominations is March 31st. Voting takes place from April 15th-30th.
