Albert Lea Sex Offender Civilly Committed Indefinitely

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A judge has ordered a convicted level 3 sex offender to be civilly committed to a state program.

Matthew Radke, 37, was convicted in 2007 for having a sexual relationship with an adolescent girl. He was released, but then was back in jail for window peeping at a young woman changing clothes in 2011.

Freeborn County Attorney Craig Nelson started the commitment process in April of 2012, and received word this week that the judge agreed Radke was a "sexually dangerous person."

The Minnesota sex offender program has two locations, in Moose Lake and St. Peter, and that's where Radke will be committed to for the foreseeable future.
