No Pope at the Helm in Vatican City

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy (AP) - The Catholic Church's operations are being run by committee today.
    
A few key players are handling matters until a new pope is elected to replace the now-retired Benedict.
    
In one of his first official acts as dean, Cardinal Angelo Sodano officially summons the voting-age cardinals to Rome to participate in the conclave, a formality, given that most are already there.
