KM Students Getting Hands On with Engineering
Marshmallow catapults, spaghetti bridge construction, sounds like a pretty fun day at school and that's exactly what elementary students at Kasson-Mantorville did today.
The school partnered with Benchmark Electronics of Rochester to bring third and fourth students hands on experience in stem subjects-- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
"We're thrilled to have this partnership. Our kids are having an amazing time. They are learning so many things from our engineers today and i think that it's good for our kids to see engineers and this is a possibility for me, when i grow up, i could be an engineer, chemical engineer, electrical engineer." said Michelle Krell, KM Principal.
Rirst and second graders were visited by a geologist and a meterologist.
