Email to a FriendFormer Iowa Police Officer Guilty Of Arson And Burglary
(ABC 6 News) - A former Iowa police officer, accused of both arson and burglary, has been found guilty of both charges.
The verdict against Thaddeus Ellenbecker, came down around 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in a Mason City courtroom. Ellenbecker was found guilty of setting fire to the Forest City police station and stealing a rifle from a police car.
One of the main pieces of evidence against him was a confession he gave to agents from Iowa's Division of Criminal Investigation.
So far, no word on what his sentence will be.
