Rochester Woman in Serious Condition After Crash
(ABC 6 News) - A 58-year-old Rochester woman is still in serious condition after a fiery crash on County Road 9 and County Road 11 Monday night.
Roads were closed for hours after the crash. Over a dozen emergency vehicles were at the scene. The Olmsted county Sheriff department says a car going northbound on County Road 9 failed to stop and crashed into a trailer being pulled by a truck on County Road 11.
The driver of the car, Rochelle Raymond of Rochester, was unconscious when emergency crews arrived and had to be extricated.
The driver of the other car, 22-year-old Brand Twernbold, was unharmed.
"The pickup pulling the trailer was not involved in the fire at all", said Sgt. Steve Kazeck of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Department. "It appeared to me it became separated in the crash. So the trailer down in the ditch... that's what started on fire."
Raymond is being treated at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
