Woman Wakes up to Stranger in her Bedroom

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Over the past few weeks we've kept you informed about a string of sexual assaults in Kutzky Park and the man who police say is responsible.    

But now investigators are working on entirely new case on the other side of town.    

At 1:00 AM Friday morning police were called to the 600 block of Rocky Creek Drive.    

A woman woke up to a stranger standing over her bed touching her while she slept.    

Police say he took off once he noticed she was awake. 

Investigators immediately searched the area, interviewing neighbors and looking for evidence.    

They're also trying to track down surveillance video that may help them identify the suspect.    

Investigators say that when it comes to serious crimes like this they do everything they can to keep people informed. 

"It's probably one of the worst crimes there is out there. That's why it's important for us to get the information out there so people are aware of what's going on and so that they can be diligent in locking their windows or doors and talking to their neighbors,” Lt. Casey Moilanen says. 

Police don't have a lot to go on at this time.

They're asking anyone who thinks they may have seen something Thursday night to please call the Rochester Police Department.  

Even the smallest detail could help them track this person down.
