More Than $8,200 Charged on Stolen Gas Card
(ABC 6 News)- High gas prices have inspired people to do crazy things to offset the rising costs. Owners at Seneca Foods were victim to one of those crazy attempts to save a buck.
Police say the company is missing a gas card used to fill up one of their trucks.
The truck is apparently older and is seldom used by workers. The company didn't know the card was missing until September 19th when they reported it to police.
Investigators say the unauthorized charges started as far back as July 20th.
Since then more than $8,200 has been charged on the card.
Police are asking gas stations to keep an eye out for it.
Now that the card has been reported stolen police are confident that it will be recovered or stopped very soon.
