Shots Fired at Gates Apartments

(ABC 6 News)- Neighbors are concerned after hearing multiple gunshots at the Gates Apartment complex in Rochester early Sunday morning.

Rochester Police were called in to investigate. During their initial search at 12:50 AM they weren't able to find any shell casings or signs of damage.

Investigators came back at 3:40 PM to search in the daylight and found that four garage doors and one car window were damaged by bullets.  Police also found several shell casings in the parking lot.

Investigators interviewed numerous witnesses who all heard the gunshots, but no one actually saw the shooter.

However, a few residents report hearing a car leaving the parking lot immediately after the shots were fired.

The investigation is ongoing.
